TEAM ESR DOUBLES UP WITH TOP-5 FINISHES IN ATLANTA SHOWDOWN

Team ESR delivered one of its strongest performances of the season Saturday night at Atlanta, with Steven Burnett finishing 2nd and Justin Kern bringing the No. team entry home 3rd after a hard-fought battle at the front of the field all race long.
Burnett and Kern stayed in contention from the drop of the green flag, working the draft, managing track position, and keeping their trucks inside the lead pack through multiple restarts and late-race pressure. When it came down to the final run to the line, Burnett narrowly missed the win by just 0.026 seconds, finishing runner-up to NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Brenden “Butterbean” Queen in one of the closest finishes of the season.
Both ESR trucks showed speed early and never faded, a clear sign the team unloaded with the right setup for Atlanta’s fast, high-commitment racing surface. Pit strategy, clean execution, and disciplined drafting kept both drivers in position to challenge for the win deep into the closing laps.
“It was the kind of night you want as a team,” Burnett said after the race. “We stayed up front, avoided trouble, and gave ourselves a shot at it at the end. Losing by that little always stings, but it shows we’re right where we need to be.”
Kern backed that up with a steady and confident drive of his own, locking in another podium finish for the organization and helping secure a double top-five result for ESR.
The performance continues a strong stretch of momentum for Team ESR as the season progresses, with both drivers consistently putting the trucks in position to compete for wins and stage points week after week. The result also strengthens the team’s presence in the standings as the fight for the championship tightens.
With speed like this and execution improving each race, Team ESR heads to the next Iowa Speedway confident that a trip back to victory lane is just around the corner.
