ESR RACR RECAP - BURNETT PICKS UP 2nd WIN OF THE SEASON
3/3/20261 min read

It was one of those nights where nothing came easy for ESR, but both drivers showed exactly what they’re made of. Justin Kern fired off 6th at the start and stayed in the mix early, but ran into trouble on track that left the truck banged up. Despite the damage, Kern kept digging, wheeled it to the finish, and brought home a hard-earned top-10, finish.
Steven Burnett had his work cut out before the green flag even dropped. Electrical and streaming issues during qualifying kept him from turning a lap, forcing him to roll off 7th. He would eventually work his way up to the front with the leaders. Just past halfway, a pit stop flipped the script. More issues dropped Burnett nearly 7 seconds behind. Then everything changed. The leaders tangled in the bus stop, and Burnett was suddenly right back up front battling for position. After some hard-nosed racing and plenty of door-to-door contact Burnett grabbed the lead. From there, it was all about hitting marks and managing traffic. Burnett led the final 8 laps and parked it in Victory Lane for his second win of the season.
Burnett now sits on top of the standings, holding a 21-point advantage, while Kern stands 6th as the championship battle heats up. Next up, ESR and NASTRACK head to the Tricky Triangle at Pocono Raceway.
