Steven Burnett rolled off 6th but immediately faced adversity when a first lap incident unfolded in front of him, leaving the No. 5 collected in the chaos and sent to the back of the field. From there, Burnett settled in worked his way forward, showing the long-run pace the team has leaned on all season. He powered back through the pack, led several laps, and kept himself in position to contend late. Pit stops during the final sequence placed him back in third, where he would ultimately take the checkered flag. After the race, Burnett noted how difficult passing became once the field strung out. “Dirty air made it really tough to get to someone’s bumper and make anything happen on the bottom. We had a fast truck, just needed a little more track position there at the end.”
Justin Kern added another steady performance to the board with a top-10 finish of his own. Fighting a tight race truck most of the night, Kern stayed consistent, holding position inside the top 10 throughout the run and bringing home valuable points for the team.
