Burnett Charges to Runner-Up Finish at Texas, Holds Points Lead

Team ESR stayed right in the fight Monday night at Texas, with Steven Burnett bringing home a strong second-place finish and keeping control of the NASTRACK Truck Series standings.
Burnett rolled off from the front row and spent the entire race in pursuit of the leader. Despite repeatedly closing the gap to within a second, the truck struggled to make a move in dirty air on the long green-flag run. Still, the clean and steady drive locked in another podium and kept Burnett on top of the championship board heading into the next round.
Justin Kern started fifth and showed early speed, running inside the lead group for much of the night. A pit road speeding penalty proved costly in a race that stayed green from start to finish, limiting chances to recover track position. Kern crossed the line eighth but continues to hold fifth in the points standings.
Another consistent night for Team ESR keeps both drivers firmly in the title conversation as the season momentum rolls on.
